We accept child-appropriate quilts and blankets made of cotton and flannel, crocheted and knitted blankets, and fleece blankets.  Please choose bright, child-friendly colors and patterns for the materials you are using.   Fleece Blanket Specifications:  We accept single-layer fleece blankets fringed without knots, using the pattern linked below.  Double-layer blankets are so heavy that they are cumbersome for many of our donation sites.  For some children, double-layer blankets are too heavy or bulky to carry with them, either to a playroom or doctor's visits.  Single-layer blankets are very warm and comforting and you can help more children by making single-layer blankets rather than doubling up your material.   Fleece blankets should be fringed neatly on all four sides.  Minimum length of fleece used for blankets should be 1-1/4 yards, but we will accept 1- 1/2 yards as well.  One yard is too narrow for a blanket once the fringe is cut.   Please use this pattern for your fleece blankets: NO SEW FLEECE BLANKET  From the National Project Linus site, here are some other patterns to help you get inspired!
